Hi there!!

My name is Natasha Burow (aka Tasha). I am so excited to be a part of the Cowgirl Dreams Team 2016!

My dream started a very young age. My mom has a huge passion for horses and when she wanted to go riding she would put me on my pony and lead me behind her horse.  She would go for long rides on the dirt roads and I would be behind her bouncing on my pony and singing songs.  For those of you who have ever heard me sing, this most have been awful for my poor mom.

I started competing in lead line and walk trot at age 3.  As I got older, I started focusing mostly on barrel racing.  In 199? I qualified for the AQHA youth world show in barrel racing and pole bending.  From there, I started going to high school rodeos and won several year end titles in the barrel racing, pole bending, and goat tying.  I placed in the barrel racing at the national high school finals in Gillette Wyoming.

In the early 2000's, I decided to give reining a try.  This started a new passion for me!  Before I knew it, I was training my barrel horses to spin. I decided to start showing reining and finished that first year in the top ten in the world in the limited non-pro. I went on to win several state titles and top ten world world standings.

In 2012, I decided to train for the public and started Five Star Performance Horses, where I focus on training barrel and reining horses. In 2014, I made the finals of the barrel futurity in Oklahoma City.   I have been truly blessed to have rode some great horses over the years and  I look forward to many more great opportunities in the future.

On a personal note, no one could ever laugh harder at my silly mistakes than me!  Life is too short to not laugh at your mistakes.

My favorite food in the world is cake (chocolate with cream filling and ganache frosting). ( A close second is that donut from Tim hortons that has the sprinkles on it!)  I am probably the worst swimmer ever..... I have yet to master the doggy paddle. My bucket list includes sky diving even though I hate small planes. Oh, and I love zip lining but I dislike standing on the edge of anything.

When I am not riding horses, I enjoy watching my daughter ride horses. ( or one of her many other activities... Lol).
So if you see me out and about or at a competition, please say "HI". I look forward to seeing all of you!!

JULY, 2016

Michigan Reining Horse Association Liberty Show in Midland, Michigan:  This ride landed Tasha Co-Champion in Level 1 Open Derby, Champion of the MBBO Open Level 1 Derby and Level 4 MBBO Reserve Champion!  Congratulations to Tasha, owner Erin Wieferich and Heather Hijacker!

And oh yeah.....your show shirt looks AWESOME!  Thank you for your continued belief in Cowgirl Dreams Co. and for your support!  My heart is grateful!

What a year this has been!

I started the year off without any idea if I would even make it in the arena this year. As a horse trainer, things change year to year depending on what horses you have. I was super excited to have some awesome people on the Five Star team to coach though and I was looking forward to helping them meet their goals.

As summer went on, I was given the opportunity to show a horse that I had in training, “Heather Hijaker”. We did very well our first trip in the pen and her owner, Erin Wieferich, and I set our sights on the MBBO Derby in July. It turned out to be a good decision, because we won the limited MBBO and Open level 1 and were reserve in the MBBO level 4.

We then decided that I would show Heather at the regional Affiliate Finals in Springfield, OH. With trying to keep my daughter in school as long as possible, it was questionable if I would even make it to the show in time but I made it just in time and was able to pull of a win in the limited Open.

We then decided to go to the North American Affiliate Finals in Oklahoma City in November where we finished in the top ten!

I also ended up Reserve in the State on Heather Hijaker and 5th in the state on a horse I showed one time, “Duallin Peppy Nic” owned by Nicole Cumbo. In addition, I had some wonderful clients that I helped to achieve their year end goals.

I am looking forward to a great 2017.
